Groups & Ministries

God tells us in Genesis 2:18 that “it is not good to be alone”. It is with others that we grow, love, serve, heal and develop our relationship with Christ. Connecting with others is the heart of our church.

Following are several ways that you can connect with others. There are Small Groups for adults, kids, families, singles, marrieds, men, women, those that are hurting, and those in need. There are ways to Serve others through various ministries along with resources for reaching those who don't know God.

ADULTS

Small Groups

Comprised of 10-20 people, Evergreen Lakeville's Small Groups meet in members' homes during the week to participate in relevant biblical discussions.  With a focus on helping you grow in your relationship with God, there are a variety of groups from which you can choose.

Check out the small groups listing for information about our current singles groups.

Women

Recognizing the unique way God has created them, our women’s ministry focuses on helping women grow to their full potential in Christ through relationships. Our primary focus is on small group women’s time with some larger events scheduled throughout the year.  These are excellent times for women of all ages and stages to begin relationships or invite new people to experience Evergreen Lakeville.

Men

There is a tendency in our society for men to isolate themselves and become “rugged individualists.” At Evergreen Lakeville we believe that men need to establish strong, godly relationships with other men. Our Men’s ministry provides guidance and support to help men grow spiritually and make a difference in our world.  Periodic Evergreen Lakeville men's events and spiritual leadership opportunities can be found in the announcements

Pre-Marriage Class

Many couples never learn what makes a marriage successful before they get married.  That’s why Evergreen Lakeville offers a pre-marriage class.  (We also recommend this class to any couple married for 5 years or less that has had little or no pre-marriage training.)

The format for each meeting includes a message (often taught by a husband/wife team) followed by smaller group discussions.  Weekly projects are assigned for the couples to complete outside of the class.  Attendance at this class is required for couples who desire to get married by an Evergreen pastor or who desire to use an Evergreen facility for their wedding and/or wedding reception.  For upcoming class dates, check our Announcements.  This 11-week class is typically held on Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm at the Evergreen-Bloomington location.  And is usually offered in the fall and spring of each year, beginning in mid-September and late-February.
