Vertical Teen Ministry
The Evergreen-Lakeville Vertical Teen Ministry is for Jr. High (6th-8th grade) and Sr. High (9th-12th grade) students and their parent(s). 
Our Mission
Facilitating parent-led discipleship of teens who are:
- Loving God (Matt 22:36-37 – Great Commandment)
- Serving the Church (John 13:34 – New Commandment)
- Reaching the Lost (Matt 28:18-20 – Great Commission)
Our Vision
Imagine...
Imagine every student in our youth ministry captured by God's love and grace and as a result, passionately devoted to a vibrant, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ, spending daily time studying the Scriptures and praying. They’re living a different kind of life, energized by their relationship with God. Unlike so many young people today, they aren't willing to blindly follow their culture and the differences are profound and attractive.
They are engaged with their parents, honoring and obeying them, and putting themselves under authority. Because of this, there is harmony in the home and God is honored and glorified, as the family becomes united and focused around a common mission.
They are learning self-control, the art and discipline of saying "no" to themselves. They align their priorities around God's purposes for their lives. Their dress and conduct is modest and countercultural, as they strive to pursue meaningful relationships where they can be more of a positive influence to, than be influenced by, their peers.
They value work over idleness, knowing that it produces strong character, discipline and perseverance. They embrace God's absolute truths. Their identity in Jesus Christ is characterized by a life of sacrifice--not to be served, but to serve and give their life away for the benefit of others.
They are loving and forgiving to one another and committed to the local church as God's vehicle for revealing His love to the world. They are zealous for the advancement of the Gospel, actively and relationally sharing God's plan for salvation, committed to fulfilling the Great Commission for the rest of their lives.

Vertical Kick-off BBQ
Wednesday, September 15, 6:00-8:00 PM. All 6th-12th grade students and their parents are invited to our annual barbeque to kick-start the new year of Vertical teen ministry. Come hungry!
