Meet the Pastors
Mark Bowen
Mark Bowen has been serving the Lord for decades. He has a practical, no-nonsense approach on the how-tos of loving God and others. Mark’s transparency and authenticity invite people to understand and put into practice what he is teaching. In his own unique way, he impacts listeners from all walks of life to better understand the mercy and love that God has for each of us.
Mark has been a pastor for with Evergreen since 1994. In 1997, he co-founded and continues to co-pastor Evergreen Community Church in Lakeville. Mark is well known for his humorous speaking style and has been called to speak on a variety of topics such as finances, parenting, marriage and singleness. He is an authority on Small Group development, training new leaders yearly on Small Group dynamics and planning.
Mark lives in the city of Burnsville, Minnesota with his wife of over 20 years, Judy and five children: Ruth, Becky, Joanna, Katie and Philip.
Mike Langlois
Mike Langlois was a mechanical engineer before he became a pastor at Evergreen Community Church-Lakeville in 2002. As a pastor his primary responsibilities in serving God include overseeing the children’s and teen ministries, discipleship, prayer and church operations. From October of 2000 to November of 2004, Mike served as Evergreen’s Office Manager for all 5 locations. After being recognized as a pastor in 2002, he split his time between managing the office and pastoring at the Lakeville location.In November of 2004, he moved to being a full time pastor in Lakeville. Mike was one of the original leaders to help start the Lakeville location in 1997.
As pastor, Mike desires to see God continually grow the Lakeville location into a church planting hub reaching to the south of the Twin Cities. His passion is to be about growing 3D churches filled with people who are Discovering Christ, Developing Disciples and Delivering the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mike has been married to his wife, Cathy, since 1989 and they have four children: Kristin, Ben, John and Nathan.
Charlie Meyer
Charlie Meyer is a military avionics engineer by profession, but a pastor by calling. Prior to becoming a pastor, Charlie worked for Honeywell in the military avionics division for ten years. During this time he developed standardization practices and served as chairman of the Corporate Standard Parts Board. In 1996, Charlie was recognized as pastor of Evergreen Community Church-Bloomington.
In 1997, he co-founded the Lakeville location with Mark Bowen and continues to co-pastor to this day. With Charlie’s strong background in ministry leadership his primary responsibilities include: speaking and teaching roles at the weekend church services, organizing ministries, and leading and introducing individuals to short-term missions to Latin America.
Charlie is a devoted husband and has been married since 1986 to his wife, Roxanne, whom he claims: Is the best girl in the world! Charlie and Roxanne are the proud parents of four children: Arielle, Elisa, Christopher, and Joel. Like their parents, all four children are active in multiple ministries and missions abroad. When Charlie has free time he can be found in his other favorite elements: The love of music and photography.
