Jobs on LinkedIn
ECC has created a Jobs Network on LinkedIn. At this site you can network with other Evergreeners as you look for leads and job opportunities. You can get “linked in” by following Steps 1-4 below.
- Go to the LinkedIn site. LinkedIn is free to join. They offer a premium version that provides more tools for finding people, whether or not they are in your network, but you should not need this functionality. All relationships on LinkedIn are mutually confirmed, and no one appears in your LinkedIn Network without knowledge and explicit consent.
- Set up a free LinkedIn account including your e-mail address, and create a password. Check your e-mail to confirm.
- Enter your profile information, and “connect” with people you know. This is a good way to manage the professional information that people (connections) will see about you.
- Click on “Groups”, and search for “Evergreen Community Church Jobs Network,” and request to join the group. Once you join the group, you can see who else is in the group and you can ask other people you know to join. You can read, add to the discussions and begin to proactively connect with people who you think may be able to help you or who you want to meet.
