Questions:

1.  How can taking action and “serving well” (1Tim 3:13) give you an excellent standing and great assurance in your faith?

2.  How does obeying Jesus’ commands prove your love for him?

3.  What does Jesus’ promise in John 14:21 that he will “show himself” to you mean?

4.  What have you put into action from the previous weeks discussions on faith? If nothing, why do you think you have failed to make a change?

2. Persevere:

Gal 6:9  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

James 1:12  Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

1 John 5:4This is the victory that has overcome the world, -- our faith.

2. Reflecting on what you have sown recently, what “spiritual harvest” are you     expecting:  Weeds, wimpy plants, a bumper crop; why? (Gal 6:9)

3. How can our faith help us to overcome the world (problems, pain, fear, disappointments, etc.)? (1 John 5:4)

4. What trials have you persevered under lately? How does it help to keep an eternal perspective? (James 1:12)
